Women wanted to take over the balloon barrage

1 Jan 1942

21 WOMEN WANTED to take over the BALLOON BARRAGE The nightmare of Nazi airmen is Britain's balloon barrage. That's why it is one of the most important jobs in the country to keep those silver fish flying! And the WAAF have proved they can take over this important, front-line job from the RAF! It's a fine, healthy life for women who are fit and strong and fond of the open air. You must be 5′ 1″ or over, and aged between 171/2 and 43. After a short training course, you will be posted to a balloon site.
