The documents cover discussions on the legal implications of the termination of certain wartime contracts; and moves to revoke wartime defence legislation. The legislation covered all aspects of society including finance, banking, price controls, and insurance; the control of industry; and agriculture, including supplies of livestock and agricultural labour. Further legislation covers business; local government; merchant shipping; the emergency services, including the fire services and the police; and the health services, including the medical registration of certain professionals, and the employment of nurses and midwives. The file also covers legislation on transportation, employment controls, housing, evacuation, requisitioning, border controls, and entertainment.
