A file of memoranda and statistical reports concerning the deliberations of the Lord President's Committee on domestic affairs during the Second World War. The documents discuss plans for post-war reconstruction in the United Kingdom; the nationalisation of the coal-mining industry, the railways, and the gas and electricity supplies; government policies on transport and agriculture; housing, including rent controls and plans for satellite towns; and post-war international trade.
