Savings Banks

1 Jan 1944

450 SAVINGS BANKS SAVINGS BANKS have been an integral feature of our national life since the early years of the nineteenth century. TRUSTEE SAVINGS BANKS were first in the field. Many of those founded more than a century ago are still flourishing, and there are now more than 90 Banks with over 700 Branches. Directed by local Trustees and Managers, under State supervision, they combine maximum security with the freedom that comes from independent management. Their depositors have the advantage of personal help and advice in matters of savings.
