productivity licks everything, thinks George

1 Jan 1949

287 PRODUCTIVITY licks everything thinks George Ever since the office boy got a new girl friend he's been an enthusiastic supporter of any idea that will speed up work, so that he can keep his dates. For example, he's reduced letter-stamping to a fine art. He used to wet the stamps one at a time. Now he fans out half a dozen envelopes, wets the corners, takes a strip of stamps, presses down and tears off one after another in a single motion. George's idea is a simple example of the use of wits to get more done in less time with the same amount of effort.
