Lashings of custard

1 Jan 1944

LASHINGS OF CUSTARD! Creamy and delicious, made with dried eggs This real-egg custard is as nour- ishing as it's delicious. And because it's made with dried eggs (which are whole, fresh, new-laid eggs with shell and water re- moved), it's very easy to make. Here's the recipe: Two level tablesps. dried eggs (dry); 2 level tablesps. flour; 1 level tablesp. sugar; 5 level tablesps. household milk (dry); 1 pint water; grated nutmeg. Mix dry ingredients together. Blend with a little of the cold water to make a thin cream.
