1 Jan 1943

LAST-MINUTE Christmas Pudding! Been too busy to make a Christmas pudding yet? Here's a last-minute recipe for you! The feature of it is that it should be eaten the same day it's made. Note that it's made with eggs—dried eggs. These help to give it a lovely rich flavour. You need: 4 oz. sugar; 4 oz. flour; 8 oz. fruit; 8oz. grated raw carrot; 8oz. grated raw potato; 1 level teaspoon each of bicarb. soda, salt, grated nutmeg and cinnamon; 2 dried eggs (dry); 2 oz. melted dripping. Mix all ingredients together in the order given.
