FOOD FACTS CHRISTMAS CAKE 3 oz. sugar; 4 oz. margarine; 1 tablespoon syrup; 8 oz. flour; pinch of salt; 2 level teasp. baking powder; 1 level teasp. cinnamon; 1 level teasp. mixed spice; 4 dried eggs, reconstituted; 3/4 lb. dried fruit (if possible some prunes and dates); 1/2 teasp. lemon substitute; milk to mix. Christmas METHOD: Cream sugar and margarine, add syrup. Mix flour, salt, baking powder and spices together. Add alternately with the eggs to the creamed mixture and beat well. Add fruit, lemon substitute, and enough milk to make a fairly soft dough.
