What do I do... if I can't get B.B.C. programmes on the usual wavelength? I remember that broadcasting stations do not operate now as in peacetime. If they did, they might help enemy aircraft. So I try all the B.B.C. wavelengths in turn. Home Service : • Usually marked : 449 metres "North Regional" 391 metres "Scottish Regional" "Clevedon" or 203 metres "Bournemouth and Plymouth" 49.38 metres — Forces Programme : • Usually marked : 342 metres "London Regional" 42.46 metres — And I know that using my set during an air-raid does not help the raiders.
