39 " To release men for the Offensive ATS, WAAF and WRNS need every woman who is not in vital work Over 100 types of work now open GENERAL SIR RONALD ADAM said in his recent broadcast: "To assume the offensive on the greatest possible scale and at the earliest possible moment is the wish of each fighting Service. To do this successfully we want every fit man in the fighting line. "To free these men for the offensive, the fighting forces require more and women to step into their places." That is why every woman, married or single, who is not already doing work that is vitally important for the war, is urged to volunteer now for the ATS, the WAAF or the WRNS.
