Part of Britains fighting strength

1 Jan 1942

33 Part of Britain's FIGHTING STRENGTH Six new recruits ... A little while ago they were working in shops ... in offices ... at home. In a few weeks now, they will take over the work of six R.A.F. men. Each one of them left her work voluntarily, because it was not vital. This is the only spirit that can bring us victory in the stern struggle that lies ahead. Thousands more with that spirit are needed now in the WAAF and ATS—needed urgently to take over men's work behind the lines so that every fit man can be released for the fighting lines.
