£800,000 for HM Forces in a year

1 Jan 1943

Consider what Naafi staff have achieved for the Forces in the third year of the war—and come and help them to do even greater work in the urgent months ahead. · Naafi, the official canteen organi- sation, has recently rendered an account of its stewardship for the third year of the war. In that one year, Naafi distributed to H.M. Forces over £8,000,000 in cash and amenities—nearly double the figure for the previous year. Of this sum, a total of nearly £6,000,000 was distributed in cash—by monthly cheques paid to units for the benefit of the men, in proportion to the volume of the trade in their Naafi canteen.
