97 "I rely on the Observer" says the Pilot We all know the splendid part our pilots are playing in the war. The work of an air observer is equally important. He is the directing force. He it is who guides the bomber to its target, and aims and releases the bombs; and it is his navigational skill which brings the aircraft home on a safe course. If you are 171/4 and not yet 33, keen for an adventurous life, and not afraid of responsibility, you should decide to volunteer as air observer or pilot. Observers for special and scientific duties only can now be accepted up to the age of 40.
