374 Naafi's 25th: Normandy Diary (continued) "I am more than satisfied with the service Naafi gave in the initial stages and are giving in Normandy, and I am pleased to have this opportunity of paying tribute to the Naafi staff who have achieved these results." Official reply to question in House of Commons, Aug. 3, 1944 JUNE 6th 'D' DAY: Naafi "canteen packs" — containing emergency supplies of canteen goods — were carried by invasion troops as part of their equipment. JUNE 23rd: Naafi reconnaissance party permitted to land in France to survey the area for suitable premises.
