This advertisement will appear during early January, 1942 in selected English and Welsh Provincial Dailies and Weeklies. MINISTRY OF FOOD POTATOES FOR CANNING The Ministry of Food requires a large quantity of potatoes suitable for canning and invites offers from growers or merchants. Delivery will be required during the period January to March 1942. The potatoes must comply with the following specification :— VARIETY King Edward, Red King, Gladstone, Kerr's Pink, or Redskin. SIZE Potatoes which will pass through a 2" riddle, but will stand on a 1" riddle, although potatoes passing through a 13/4" riddle and on a 1" riddle are preferred.
