Fresh salted cod. An announcement by the MoF

1 Jan 1941

This advertisement will appear in The Fish Trades Gazette, and The Fishing News, October 11th. FRESH-SALTED COD The Ministry of Food have bought the whole of the existing stock of fish in Iceland and the anticipated production up to June 30th next. Much of this is extra fish to the British market; a rare and welcome event in the fish trade. Of the fish bought, a large part will be Fresh-Salted Cod— a type of fish new to this country. It is easy to cook; it is cheap; and there is practically no waste.
