THE MINISTER OF FOOD pointed out that in the five weeks from 1st February to 8th March reserve stocks of wheat had fallen from amounts representing 13.8 weeks' supply to 11.6 and those of barley from 15.4 to 12.7. The figures were very disconcerting. raised points revision of the import programme. (1) Consumption of bread. (i) THE CHAIRMAN said that it appeared from the report that in consequence of shortage in other supplies there was an increased consumption of bread.
