The difficulty will be particularly serious in those cities and towns which have been heavily blitzed, where the work of re-housing the population is of the most urgent character. Already, for example, at Bristol it has been necessary to refuse an offer of 250 men from Ireland for work on site preparation, although camp accommodation for them is available if there had been an authority which could administer it. Furthermore, when building workers start being released from the Forces in Class B it will be essential to provide them with suitable accommodation in the places to which they will be required to go to work.
