2. -1- Memorandum by Officials of the Economic Section of the war Cabinet Secretariat and of the Agricultural Departments. At the meeting of the Lord President's Committee on 15th January, 1942, certain estimates of profits were given by the Lord President in the course of his opening remarks. The Minister of Agriculture said that he could not accept these estimates and the Committee invited the Lord President to arrange for them to be examined by officials of the Economic Section of the War Cabinet Secretariat and of the Agricultural Departments with a view to the submission of an agreed report on this point.
