ALLOCATION OF CEREALS FOR DISTILLING Memorandum by the Minister of Food. 1. At the 51st meeting of the Committee the Secretary of State for Scotland, the President of the Board of Trade, the Minister of Agriculture and I were invited to confer upon the allocation of cereals for distilling. 2. We have all agreed that the malt distillers should be authorised to purchase at once 27,000 tons of Scottish malting barley (10 per cent less than their 1941 allocation).
