Note: Both (a) and (b) might have the desirable effect of forcing the enemy to increase his Flak defences and thus use up metal and personnel. Experience of anti-aircraft fire up to the present proves that the cost of the aircraft is exceeded by the cost of the Flak necessary to destroy it, i.e. it is cheaper to build an aircraft than to destroy it by Flak.
