MAJOR-GENERAL TEMPLER said that the War Office was compiling an index of linguists with Intelligence experience, but no central organisation existed which could allocate interpreters to interested Agencies. Competition for linguists had been considerable in the last war, and he would strongly support the suggestion for the formation of a Working Party from all interested Departments to consider the problem. MAJOR-GENERAL STRONG said that he was preparing an examination of all foreign countries in relation to their economic potential.
