The documents cover the activities of the Food Policy Committee, and include monthly reports on supplies of certain foods and animal feedstuffs. These cover wheat, flour, sugar, oil seeds and vegetable oils, meat, bacon, cheese, and milk. Further subjects cover food production; the slaughtering of livestock; food imports and shipping; rationing; and the destruction of food stocks through shipping losses and air raids. The file also includes a report on the egg control and marketing scheme in Northern Ireland; and discussions on the distribution and storage of food.
