A file of meeting minutes from the War Cabinet's Food Policy Committee. Subjects covered in the meetings included the current food situation in the U.K.; agricultural production; the distribution of food; the impact of enemy attacks on shipping; the impact of air raids on supplies; rationing for service personnel; difficulties in recruiting agricultural labour; suggestions that the basal diet be used as a basis for nutritional requirements; the possibility of introducing a meat-free day; and arrangements for the feeding of factory workers, school children, and those in emergency situations.
