1. RESTRICTION OF SERVICE RATIONS OF BACON. (Previous Reference: F.P.(M)(40) 30th Mtg. Conclusion 1). The Committee had before them the proposals of the First Lord of the Admiralty and the Secretaries of State for War and Air (Papers) F.P.(M)(40) 148, 146 and 150) on the suggestion that the weekly Service rations of bacon should be reduced in the case of men by a cut of the order of 25% and in the case of women to the level of the civilian ration of 4 ozs.
