166 ANNOUNCEMENT BY THE YOUR COAL ALLOWANCE FOR JANUARY In order to conserve stocks in readiness for the crucial military operations that are approaching, it is necessary to reduce the supplies of coal to domestic consumers, and to order that the existing stocks in merchants' yards shall be kept for use in those periods when supplies from the pit- head may be interrupted for various reasons. MINISTRY OF FUEL & POWER The supply of coal to any household during the month of January will be 4 cwt. in the South of England and 5 cwt.
