THE BAN ON ALL FORMS OF HEATING What the Orders say: From now until October 31st there is a ban on central heating in all premises except private houses (provided they do not or mainly for industrial purposes ; have more than 10 living rooms or all kinds of hospitals ; schools and bedrooms) ; premises used wholly children's homes and nurseries. A second Order now bans all other methods of heating rooms. It applies to the same premises as for central heating, but the following are added to the above list of exceptions : Rooms in all private dwelling houses, purposes ; and (between 10 p.
