up GAS AND ELECTRICITY — WARNING it's You heard the Minister of Fuel's statement last week ? There has been an alarming rise in the consumption of gas and electricity, which cannot be justified even if full allowance is made for colder weather. The statement was more than an "appeal"—it was a warning. Unless the present rise in domestic consumption of gas and electricity is immediately checked, the war effort may be hindered at a critical juncture. So now it's up to us. Are we going to pull together and make that saving of our own free will? We must decide, and at once if we are to prevent serious damage to our war effort.
