HERE ARE SOME useful suggestions for dishes which will help to satisfy the holiday children's holiday appetites and make the most of what is left in the larder. SAVOURY MIX Ingredients: (for 4) 4-6 oz. macaroni, 1 large onion, thinly sliced, 1 tomato, skinned and sliced, 1 oz. dripping, 6 oz. cooked vegetables, diced, 1/4 pint stock or 1 level teaspoon meat extract dissolved in 1/4 pint water, 6 oz. cooked meat, diced, salt and pepper to taste. Method: Cook the macaroni in boiling salted water until tender and drain well.
