Pop Carrot - it's a question of good taste…

1 Jan 1942

POP CARROT "It's a question of good taste," says Pop Carrot. "And my taste is delicious. I'm equally welcome in sweet or savoury, stewpot or saucepan. Of course I could tell you all about my Vitamin A. But that would be boasting, and besides— it's the flavour that counts." Here's a recipe for a good savoury: Potato and Carrot Pancake Boil together 11/2 lbs. potatoes and 11/2 lbs. sliced carrots; strain (saving the liquid for soup) and mash well with salt and pepper to taste. Make a little fat very hot in a stout frying-pan, put in the mixture and fry very slowly.
