1 Jan 1947

FUEL CRISIS TOWARDS THE WAY OUT Cut a quarter every day We must save at least a quarter of the gas and electricity we used last summer. That means more cold meals; less hot water for washing and baths; ironing everything at one time and constantly thinking of fresh ways to save. Can you find out from your meter card or from last year's bills how much you used last summer? Can you read a meter? Advice and help will be given in publicity of various kinds. If you have a slot meter put in only 3 coins for every 4 you put in last summer.
