Use less coal this winter

1 Jan 1941

401 Use less COAL this winter! Fuel is the key to the weapons we need —to the overwhelming striking force, upon which Victory depends. It is vital. It is urgent. Don't leave it to others— all must play their part. ECONOMISE IN EVERY WAY YOU CAN Here are some examples: Have a fire in one room only—breakfast in the kitchen Put firebricks at sides and back of grate When possible use sitting room fire for boiling kettles, etc. Use coal dust for banking Stop draughts, thereby retaining heat in the room.
