What do I do… to be ready for fire-bomb fighting

1 Jan 1941

What do I do... to be ready for fire-bombfighting? I go to my warden or the nearest fire-station and ask where I can get instruction on tackling fire-bombs. I buy from a newsagent or bookseller a copy of "Air Raids: What you must Know" — price 3d. I read carefully the chapter on fire-fighting, and see that my family read it too. I keep water and earth or sand, and if possible a stirrup pump, always ready in my house. I arrange with my neighbours so that some of us are on watch every night. Cut this out—and keep it!
