285 Well— why should I? Why should I switch off? "I've got my work to do like everyone else —meals to cook, children to bath, a house to keep warm and washing to do, too! No good talking to my husband about 'Peaks' if his shirt isn't ironed for work in the morning. Why not pick on someone else than the housewife for a change?" That's how we all feel about requests to go easy with electricity—until we realize that no one need use less electricity. It's only a matter of avoiding switching on during Peak Hours, when the use of electricity in homes, shops and offices overlaps with that of industry.
