What do I do… if I hear that Germans are trying to land…

1 Jan 1940

What do I do... if I hear news that Germans are trying to land, or have landed? I remember that this is the moment to act like a soldier. I do not get panicky. I stay put. I say to myself: Our chaps will deal with them. I do not say: "I must get out of here." I remember that fighting men must have clear roads. I do not go on to the road on bicycle, in car or on foot. Whether I am at work or at home, I just stay put. Cut this out-and keep it! Issued by The Ministry of Information. Space presented to the Nation by The Brewers' Society.
