In defence of Britain… How employers can help

1 Jan 1948

In defence of Britain ... How Employers can help The success or failure of the Recruiting Campaign for the new Territorial Army depends primarily upon the response of men with recent war service to the appeal for volunteers. These men are needed urgently to provide instruction and leadership to the National Service men who will in due course fill the ranks of our defensive army. What will determine their attitude to the appeal to 'Spare time for Britain'? Personal considerations will count of course, but many will be influenced most by the attitude of their employers to the conditions of voluntary service with the Territorial Army.
