It is the Vitamin C in fruit which is so beneficial—and this Vitamin C is supplied just as well by vegetables. So make up for the lack of fruit by eating plenty of vegetables. Another point : by eating more vegetables you probably would need less bread, which would save valu- able shipping space. Remember there are other ways of serving vegetables than plain boiled.
