What do I do…if raids are frequent in my district

1 Jan 1940

416 What do I do... if raids are frequent in my district? I don't go out of doors unless I must. I go to bed early and, if possible, put my bed on the ground floor. I see that I have sand (or earth) and water avail- able in case of fire. If possible I procure a stirrup pump. I know that it is my duty to take every precaution, even though so far I have been more fortunate than others in escaping danger. Cut this out—and keep it!
