Savoury Charlotte You will need 2 lbs. mixed vegetables, 1 small wheatmeal loaf, 2 rashers streaky bacon, 1 tablespoonful wheatmeal flour, 3 tablespoon- fuls chopped parsley, salt and pepper. Enough for 4 or 5 people. Prepare and dice the vegetables and cook until tender in just enough water to cover, seasoning with salt and pepper.
