THE TOWN AND COUNTRY PLANNING ACT, 1947 You have only until 30th June IF YOU INTEND TO BUILD AND WISH TO claim exemption from Development Charge ON THE GROUND THAT YOUR LAND IS RIPE FOR DEVELOPMENT Exemption can only be obtained if, between 7th January 1937 and 7th January 1947, application was made to your Local Authority in the form of a bye-law submission or building application, or if a building contract was made. An explanatory leaflet (P.R.3.) can be obtained from the office of your Local Authority, or from the Ministry of Town and Country Planning.
