255 Better Breakfasts FOOD FACTS Fadge and Fried Green Tomatoes FADGE AND FRIED GREEN TOMATOES (Starred for teen-age appetites — green tomatoes are as good as red when fried) Ingredients: 8 oz. cooked mashed potato, 1 level teaspoon salt, pinch of pepper, 1-2 oz. flour, 4 green tomatoes sliced thickly, fat for frying. Method: Mix potato, seasoning and enough flour to make a stiff dough. Roll out 1/4 inch thick and cut into eight pieces. Cook in a greased frying pan until brown on both sides and keep hot.
