Put out more bones for salvage

1 Jan 1943

193 50,000 TONS OF BONES WASTED EVERY YEAR! One ounce of bones from everybody every week will free the ships now needed to bring bones from India, the Argentine and elsewhere. Nearly 50,000 tons of household bones are wasted every year. Help prevent this waste of a vital war material by putting out bones — even the smallest ones — for salvage. Explosives, glue, fertilisers, animal feeding stuffs—all come from bones. Keep all bones (except fish bones) in a well-ventilated container ready for collection.
