191 MINISTRY OF SUPPLY PENALTIES for running TYRES with thei### FABRIC SHOWING Under the Motor Vehicles (Restriction of Use) (No. 2) Order, 1942 effective on and from January 1st, 1943, which applies to mechanically-propelled vehicles and trailers of which all the wheels are fitted with pneumatic tyres : " No person shall use or cause or permit to be used on a highway any vehicle on any of the running tyres of which the cotton or similar fabric is visible." Offenders are liable to three months' imprisonment or a fine not exceeding £100, or both.
