MINISTRY OF SUPPLY IT IS NOW AN OFFENCE to run TYRES with the FABRIC SHOWING The Motor Vehicles (Restriction of Use) (No. 2) Order 1942, which came into force on January 1st, directs that : "No person shall use or cause or permit to be used on a highway any vehicle on any of the running tyres of which the cotton or similar fabric is visible." The vehicles to which this Or###er applies are mechanically-propelled vehicles and trailers drawn by such vehicles, all the wheels of which are fitted with pneumatic tyres.
