Ingredients: 6 oz. breadcrumbs, 11/2 lb. apples, 1/2 level table- (For 4) spoons jam. Method: Grease a 11/2 pint basin and press heaped spoonfuls of the breadcrumbs round the sides and on the bottom to form a lining. Peel, core and slice the apples, place in a pan with no liquid and cook gently until pulped.
