If you delay, you run the risk of finding yourself short of fuel during the cold weather. You must be prepared to take a proportion of your Fuel in the form of coke or anthracite. Your Coal Merchant or Local Fuel Overseer will tell you how these fuels can be used effectively in open grates or boilers.
