Killed on the road - tomorrow

1 Jan 1946

KILLED ON THE ROAD — TOMORROW They think he's going to be an artist. He's eight now, and he shows great promise. They talk about the scholarship he might win. They plan for his future. But tomorrow . . . Every day 3 to 4 children are killed on the roads. For every 1 killed, another 22 are injured. Take 30 children at random, alive and well this moment — and 1 of them is foredoomed to a road accident, fatal or otherwise. These shocking figures should haunt us all. Every one who uses the roads in any way carries a grave responsibility.
