The case of Mrs Carr

1 Jan 1947

FOOD FACTS The case The Ministry of Food, in each of this series, answers individual problems for the benefit of other housewives. This story comes from the Food Advice Centre in Aberdeen. of Mrs. Carr* "How can I cook without fat?" "We're a small household — only myself and my husband, so we only have two ration books. Before the war I used about three times as much fat as I get now. My husband is home for all meals, and he's especi- ally fond of home-baked things at tea-time. lf you could let me have some recipes using no fat I'd be grateful.
