Art for all (exhibition at the V&A)

1 Jan 1949

388 Art for All LONDON TRANSPORT has never believed that its duty to Londoners ceases when an adequate transport service is achieved. There is still the important task of providing informa- tion — of showing what services there are and how they can best be used. At its simplest this means a station name, and it ranges through published timetables, maps and books to the pictorial posters reminding Londoners perhaps of the beauty and interest of a City church, perhaps of the green ways of London's countryside.
