395 Comfort NEW TRAINS are now running on the District Line. They have many new features devised by London Transport engineers for the comfort of the passenger. The new trains have fluorescent light- ing throughout — even the destination blind is lit in this way. Their windows have been widened to give the best possi- ble light when trains are in the open. Extra elbow-room has been contrived for passengers using the cross seats. Tell- tale lights show both guard and station staff if a door is not properly shut.
